How do I play?

Each picture is two things blended into one creature. Type the blended word: the end of the first word is the start of the second. Donkey + keyboard = donkeyboard. The tutorial on first launch walks you through one.

What do the modes do?

Today's specimen: one puzzle a day, and solving it keeps your streak going.

Field trip: play through the collection at your own pace. Stuck? Save the puzzle for later.

Against the clock: solve as many as you can in 3 or 5 minutes.

I'm stuck on a puzzle.

Tap Hint to reveal letters or the start of the word. If you'd rather just see it, Show answer is always there.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything works without a connection.

Where is my progress? Can I move it to a new phone?

Progress is stored on your iPhone. If you set up a new phone from an iCloud or computer backup, your progress usually comes along. Deleting the app, or starting a phone fresh without a backup, starts the game from the beginning.

How do I turn off the daily reminder?

In the app: Settings. Or in iOS Settings > Notifications > Typelican.

I can't save a card to Photos.

Allow adding images in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Typelican > Add Photos Only.

Where are the hard puzzles?

Hard ones are off by default. Turn them on in the app's Settings.

I think a puzzle is wrong.

Send us the word and what you expected. We fix puzzles in updates.
